SIGNED, SEALED AND DELIVERED

This May, BOMA Silicon Valley accomplished a milestone in its 25 year history. Your leadership negotiated and signed a lease for additional office space.

We will be expanding our space to the suite next door to our existing office, allowing us to more than double our space to a little less than 1300 sq. ft.

A sincere thank you goes to Lesley Robinson for her exacting and precise professional response and guidance in the process of representing our landlord, Equity Office, and in working with the Board’s representative, Susan Crow in the “negotiating and signing” process. Also, Past President Scott Pritchett should also be recognized for his initial activities in searching for new office space, prior to our discussion with Equity Office.

It is profoundly appreciated by your staff, that so many of our members, when finding out that we were looking for larger office space came forward on their own initiative to volunteer time, expertise, labor and resources to assist us.

In addition to the hours Susan has spend representing BOMA in the odyssey for new “digs” your Officers and Board’s effort to seek out appropriate and affordable space needs to be recognized for their concern that BOMA have adequate work and meeting space for the future as we continue to grow.

Also there are special individuals to date I must recognize for their selfless offers to assist BOMA.

Before we even had secured space, Associate Member, Clyde Hammond of Hathaway Dinwiddie looked me straight in the eyes one day about six months ago and said: “BOMA Bob, what ever you need, I’ll do the construction for you.”

Both Board members Eric Dameron-Drew, LBA Realty and Michelle Russell, Sleepy Hollow Management offered to work with us at their respective properties before Lesley one day stopped by the office and offered: “I hear through the grapevine that BOMA is looking to possibly move it’s office and we cannot lose a tenant as valuable as BOMA” So as they say, “the die was cast” and we began a discussion with Lesley on the potential to expand to the adjoining suite. A Thank you Eric and Michelle for your offers.

And then, two weeks ago I received an email from Win Roney, president of Reel Grobman Architects that he and BOMA Associate Member, Peggy Bennett were prepared to be our architects. Thank you Win and Peggy.

Cory Gross, president,  ProFormance Painting since then has come forward to volunteer the needed painting of the new space. Thank you Cory.
